Cancer Update
Tomorrow is chemo round 3 of 6! So before that starts and I go through several more days of being tired, I thought I would give a bit of an update.
Round 1 was relatively smooth. I have responded well to treatment. It makes me tired and makes my tummy rumble in unpleasant ways, but that’s the worst of it. Shortly after round 1, I did a PET scan and that confirmed that there is no other cancer present anywhere else in my body. So that is fabulous news!
I rebounded well after round 1 and had good energy for about a week and half. Then we had round 2. Same side effects, so nothing new there.
After each round it takes me about a week to a week and a half to rebound. Then I have about a week and half with energy. My hair started to fall out in between these rounds. So I have some fun caps and wigs now.
After round 2 I got sick with a cold/cough thing. It basically knocked me down on my normal rebound days. I am finally recovering now. Hopefully we can avoid that happening again.
